Pure, byte-exact Markdown frontmatter framing: split a note into verbatim YAML and body with source byte offsets, and recompose it losslessly. BOM, CRLF, and fence bytes are preserved; a malformed or unterminated block degrades to body-only. No dependencies beyond std.
